      You may ask whether an individual who needs psychological counselling will be labeled, I beg to differ. Actually, there are more and more individuals start to realize the importance of counselling. They are confident that counselling not only can give the clients the opportunity to express difficult emotions such as anger, resentment, guilt, and fear in a confidential environment, but also encourage them to discover the parts of their life that may have been difficult to explore before, which is enable them to make positive changes in their cognitions and/or behaviors. I believe that no two people are alike. As a counsellor, I will pay more attention to each individual’s characteristic and ability, helping to figure out their own life style and ways to solve problems. That is why I could not agree more that psychological counselling is of great importance to individual growth of everyone.

      I obtained two master’s degrees in counselling and in psychology respectively. I have been serving as a counsellor in local school, international school, higher education institute, and private agency, helping different types of cases, especially the one with mental illness to deal with various problems, such as emotional, social, study, family, careers, etc. In addition to frontline services, I also participated some research projects related to life planning and special education needs. Currently, I am a Certified Counsellor of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (Membership No.: M1286), a Registered Counsellor of Asian Professional Counseling and Psychological Association, and a member of The Hong Kong Psychological Association. Also, I have completed a certificate course of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I speak fluent Cantonese, Putonghua and English. I am good at applying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy. At the same time, some techniques and materials from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Expressive Art, and other therapies will be also applied if needed.  I am available to provide individual counselling sessions on weekends.
