Dr. Renee Chiu is an family counsellor, registered social worker, and corporate trainer with over 18 years of experience. Her expertise lies in family therapy, mental health, social casework, group work, career counselling, and expressive arts. Currently, Dr. Chiu serves as a lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her commitment to the field is demonstrated by her membership as an Associate Fellow, Accredited Supervisor, and Certified Counsellor of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA).
Dr. Chiu is highly regarded for her focus on family counselling and her use of Bowen Theory in clinical practice. She is also a teaching faculty member of the Family Institute of the International Social Service Hong Kong Branch. Her dedication to professional development is evidenced by her completion of certification courses in LEGO® Serious Play® facilitation and expressive arts therapy. Dr. Chiu is passionate about the development of creative counselling by integrating diverse creative means in counselling and training to address personal and family issues, such as trauma and mental health concerns.
